2020 RAM 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab vs 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT

Serving Geneva, NY

If you're looking for a capable and robust truck this year, the 2020 RAM 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab is recommended. This truck ranks #1 in its class of large trucks. It offers the benefits of a truck that you might hope for, such as utility and performance. Along with quickly getting you through the workday, the RAM also has a comfortable, tech-savvy, and spacious interior. The RAM competes with other trucks, including the 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT. However, the Silverado only ranks #4 among light-duty trucks. It has a stiffer ride than the RAM and doesn't have the same high-quality interior materials. Its cabin also has a more dated appearance and less storage.

Power & Handling

The RAM has a potent base engine that delivers 305 HP and 269 LB-FT. The V6 engine has a displacement of 3.6L. It is offered with an innovative eTorque system that gives the truck a smooth-shifting transmission. You can also order a diesel engine for the Big Horn with more torque at 480 LB-FT and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Chevy LT also comes standard with a gasoline engine, but it produces less power at 285 HP. The Chevy does not come with a diesel engine, and four-wheel drive is not offered on the LT trim.

Interior Amenities

The Big Horn includes a base 8.4-inch infotainment system, but you can upgrade to a larger 12-inch display screen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are highlights of both touchscreen displays. Other amenities include a split-folding seat for more storage space, a built-in WiFi hotspot, and a push-button start. The Chevy LT only has a smaller eight-inch display screen. WiFi is not included, and it lacks ample interior storage space. Furthermore, it does not include WiFi. Cloth seats are standard, and the back seats do not fold flat. The LT does not have a push-button start.

Exterior Design

The Big Horn Crew Cab has a total bed length of five feet and seven inches. The crew cab length for the Chevy is about the same. However, the Big Horn gets more unique exterior design features such as 18-inch alloy wheels and fog lights and prominent LED lights. A chrome-accented grille makes it stand out from the crowd. The Chevy LT lacks fog lights. Its exterior, which has a plainer appearance, includes steel wheels and a smaller windshield than the RAM offers, which translates to less outward visibility.
